From January 11 to February 11, 2023 LANCIC-CICORR hosted Dr. Anna Maria Ferrari and Dr. Roberto Rosa, professors and researchers from the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.

During their stay, Drs. Ferrari and Rosa shared their research experiences with professors and students of LANCID-CICORR through conferences and specialized courses, in addition to visiting the Archaeological Zone of Chichén Itzá, where they were received by Dr. Claudia García Solis of the INAH-Yucatan Center, to continue with their collaborations focused on the study of the life cycle of materials to reduce their environmental impact.

The research secondment was carried out as part of the activities of the project funded by the European Commission "Sustainable Conservation and Restoration of Built Cultural Heritage Innovative Project" (SCORE). This visit allowed to establish collaborative ties with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between students and professors of both research groups.
